Vanguard Models

Manufacturer of historic ship kits

Vanguard Models was founded by renowned model ship designer Chris Watton.

Chris Watton is a world-renowned designer of model ship kits, best known for his work with the Amati company, and has over 25 years' experience in the design and construction of model ships. VANGUARD MODELS was established in 2019 and is Chris' own company specialising in model ships. His work includes the "Victory Models" series from the manufacturer AMATI as well as quite a few model designs for magazines such as Hachette.
The kits impress with best scale fidelity and highest material quality. In particular, the production of precious wood parts with laser engraving was uncompromisingly implemented as well as perfect building instructions with hundreds of colour photos as instructions and building documentation.

Model builders with less experience have also been considered and models have been designed that will be a pleasure even for inexperienced model builders.
