Based on the transmitters of the TANDEM series, which work with 2.4G and 868Mhz dual-band technology, FrSky has released the long-awaited TANDEM XE transmitter.  The XE is the largest transmitter in the TANDEM series, designed specifically to meet the needs of RC users who enjoy the console transmitter design combined with the flexibility and number of switch inputs.

DUAL-SCREEN COLOUR DISPLAY DESIGN
The TANDEM XE is equipped with two screens. The main screen is a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen, which is used for operating ETHOS, e.g. model configuration. A second, smaller 2.4-inch colour screen is located on the top of the radio to meet the needs of RC users who wish to have additional information displayed separately. The content displayed on the additional screen can be programmed in the system (e.g. through Lua, configurable and personalised by the user).

MODULAR STRUCTURE AND FLEXIBILITY
TANDEM XE was developed with flexibility in mind.  Not only does it have multiple switch input slots to expand the needs of the controller, but it also has customisable switch sets that can also be replaced by alternative sets with more input slots. For example, the forward and reverse movement of models with 2 drives can be realised by adapting the side CNC metal levers with the optional self-centring accessory. The use of the optional 3-axis sticks mounted on the gimbals also offers many possibilities for use with RC boats. The TANDEM XE has a retractable transmitter mount that can be easily folded into the bottom of the transmitter, and its design also provides a good solution for attaching the transmitter harness.

BUILT-IN MASS MEMORY AND BATTERY EXTENSION
To save the user from having to decide on memory capacity, the TANDEM XE has an in-built 8GB flash memory, which provides enough storage space for all your transmitter needs while allowing high data transfer speeds. And for those users looking for a larger battery capacity than the included 4000mAh Li-Po battery, the TANDEM XE offers a larger battery bay that can accommodate larger battery packs if needed.
