Data cable USB - USM3
With the data cable K-USB-2, the USM-RC-3 module can be connected directly to the PC via a USB interface. The Sound-Teacher software can receive and display live the current diagnostic data (e.g. position of the proportional channels, status of the inputs and outputs, Nautic values, etc.). This is very helpful when troubleshooting.
If a sound or a setting in the configuration is to be changed, the SD card must normally be unplugged from the module, inserted into the card reader of the PC, the project data saved to the SD card with the Sound-Teacher and the card inserted back into the sound module.
However, in case of frequent changes, especially during initial commissioning or when testing new functions, unplugging and plugging in can quickly become a nuisance. With the help of the data cable, all changes can be conveniently transferred to the sound module without always having to reinsert the SD card.
However, the transfer of sounds is relatively slow with the data cable! A sound with a length of 10 seconds needs approx. 60 seconds until it has been transferred with the data cable. Therefore, the transfer of long sounds or large, new projects with the data cable is only advisable to a limited extent.
Drivers for the USB data cable are available for Windows/Mac and Linux and can be downloaded from the manufacturer Beier Electronic.
