The Pirate was drawn by the boat designer Carl Martens in 1938. With this design, originally called "10m² Einheits-Jugendjolle", he won a prize competition of the magazine "Yacht". For many years, the Pirate was the most frequently built all-wood sailing boat in Germany.
The model was exactly reproduced in our dinghy scale 1:10 on the basis of original drawings and photos. Many details could be realised in this model by modern laser production. Only a few simplifications were made to the model so that the flair of this magnificent wooden boat is fully preserved.
The kit contains all wooden parts precisely cut out by laser. Wooden parts can be stained to the desired wood colour before assembly. A special helling construction made of plywood makes it easy to assemble the filigree hull. Fittings are etched from brass. The mast and main boom are assembled from several laser parts and then sanded. The sails have also already been cut out in their courses by laser beam.
Building plan and instructions with many detailed sketches are also included in the kit.
