Jenny sports boat

Jenny is a free replica of the motorboats of the 1930s from the USA. The classic design has been built on a modern planing hull from 2010. This results in longer journey times and a high speed.

The boat is built entirely of wood. Frames made of birch plywood with flat planking made of 1.5mm mahogany. The deck is also an almost finished mahogany plywood part with the plank structure already prefabricated. All wooden parts are laser-cut and can be glued immediately after a short finishing process. A slipway for aligning the frames makes it easier to assemble the frame correctly. The engine hatch can be opened and the cockpit (Plicht) can be completely removed. This allows easy access to the drive and electrical installations. Rudders and a shaft system with coupling to the engine are included in the kit. An engine mount has already been included in the design as a frame. Some fitting parts such as cleats, exhaust and air scoop are made of cast metal, all other parts and the windscreen are flat nickel silver etched parts. A simple model stand is included.

A 650 brushed motor with a 35mm 2 blade screw or a 35mm brushless with approx. 790kV in combination with a 40mm 3 blade screw are suitable for the drive.

The construction is comparatively simple, initial experience in ship modelling should be available.
