M/S Mercantic 1:50 RC kit
The M/S Mercantic was a traditional cargo ship. This type of ship was widely used from the 1960s to the 1990s.
Built in 1964 by H.C. Christensens Staalskibsvcerft, Marstal, Denmark, the M/S Mercantic (construction number 84) was the first ship of the Mercandia shipping company.
The M/S Mercantic was sold and renamed several times. In 2004, she was sold to the Wade Group, Portsmouth, Dominican Republic and renamed "Love Divine". On 22 August 2012, the ship was grounded in the West Indies and declared a constructive total loss (CTL).

In the new edition of the kit, the construction has been revised and all wooden panels have been laser-cut - no comparison with the 1964 kit! The deck has been optimised for installation so that access to the components required for RC remote control is easy. The included shaft system can also be used with an electric motor. The scale brass propeller is included in the scope of delivery. All the components required to add details to the model are included in the set. The large number of brass fittings is pleasing. The building instructions consist of step-by-step photo instructions and do not include any text. The construction is easy to realise with the many illustrations. The installation of RC components is not described separately. Material for a stand is included.
