St Canute
The St. Canute was built in 1931 at Frederikshavns Værft og Flydedok A/S. It sailed for many years under its original name "St. Knud" as a tugboat and icebreaker in the harbour of Odense (Funen). "St. Canute" is 28 metres long, 7.60 metres wide and has a draught of 3.80 metres.
These kits are built using the classic frame construction method. All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut. A 1:1 construction plan, building instructions and all the wooden, plastic and meshing fittings required for construction as well as the propeller shaft and 3-blade propeller are included.
A MAX Power 400 with a length of 38 mm is provided by Billing Boats. We recommend the MAX Power 450 due to its higher torque, but the recess in the wooden bulkhead must then be slightly enlarged. There is plenty of space in front of the motor for the battery. Either a 6 V lead-acid battery or a 7.2 V racing pack can be used.
