Andrea Gail RC model from Billing Boats
The Andrea Gail was a commercial fishing boat that left the port of Gloucester, Massachusets, on 20 September 1991. The 6 sailors on board wanted to catch swordfish off Newfoundland. They never returned. It was surmised that the boat sank in a violent storm, dubbed the "Perfect Storm" by meteorologists. This was the basis for the best-selling novel of the same name, which was also made into a Hollywood film (The Storm).
The RC model is equipped with a laser-cut wooden frame construction and large hull parts, so that the hull can be built quite quickly. This model impresses with its countless details. The kit includes the shaft with stern tube, propeller and rudder for operation. All fittings and a detailed construction plan with many sketches are included.
