Hoga - Pearl Harbour tugboat in 1:50 scale Billing Boats RC kit
This tug was registered by the American Navy on 22 May 1941 and was given the name "YT146 HOGA". It was then deployed with the 14th Naval Squadron in Pearl Harbour.
After only six months in service, the HOGA was put to a far greater test than expected when Pearl Harbor was attacked on 7 December 1941. HOGA fought non-stop for 48 hours, extinguishing fires, dragging bombed warships and rescuing sailors. Today, the HOGA is the only ship still in existence since the Japanese attack. She has been renovated at the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum since 2015.
All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut. A large building plan sheet, building instructions and all wooden, plastic and fitting parts required for construction, some of which are made of brass, are included. The shaft system and preparations for a drive with motor are not included.
The building instructions are also available for download.
