Fireboat Düsseldorf Kit

The fireboat "Düsseldorf" is one of a series of three identical boats built at Rheinwerft GmbH & Co, Mainz-Mombach, for use in the Ruhr area. The boats are equipped to deal with disasters; be it a ship on fire, leaking oil or a port facility at risk of explosion. The extinguishing monitors hurl water or extinguishing foam at 10.5 bar up to 95 meters far and 45 meters high. The two 12-cylinder V-engines of about 930 kW (1260 hp) together give the boat a speed of about 37 km/h.

The romarin construction kit of the fireboat DÜSSELDORF is in size and equipment excellently suited to realize the manifold application possibilities of the original also in the model. The fire fighting monitors, the crane, the windlass, the radar, headlights, blue lights, horn, etc. can be installed in working order. The thick-walled plastic hull is large enough to accommodate the numerous aggregates for all special functions. Two well proven MAX Gear motors give the model high speed. Four large rudders guarantee extreme maneuverability in forward and reverse. The firefighting monitors can be swiveled horizontally and vertically via the remote control. With the recommended electric gear pump, they can spray 6-8 meters. With the boat crane, the deep-drawn rowboat can be lifted prototypically and lowered outboard.
The kit contains the pre-molded hull and deck, the pre-molded wheelhouse made of transparent material (thus no cutting of the windows is required) and other internals cut out with laser. The complete steering gear, stern tube with ship's shaft, propeller and coupling. Self-adhesive pictures and cover masks. Multilingual building instructions and building plan.
