The Type VII was probably the best-known submarine in the world, as over 1000 were built in various versions. This type is characterised by its particularly harmonious lines, which resemble a ship even more than those of more modern submarines.
This model of the submarine type VII b is in its basic configuration a construction kit with all the deep-drawn parts made of high-quality ABS plastic that are needed to build a pure stand model.

If you want to make the model drivable and submersible, you will need the propulsion and diving kit. However, you will need to use larger depth rudders than those used in the scale model. It is not possible to convert the stand model into a submersible model at a later date.

The hull of the Type VII b submarine consists of two ABS half-shells, the submersible tank, ballast tank and the deck, which is deep-drawn from thin material so that all slots and openings are clearly visible. The turret superstructure is also assembled from several deep-drawn ABS parts. All fittings and the two cannons are included in the basic kit.

The technology: The diving process of this model is semi-dynamic, which means that a pump and a flood tank are included in the diving set, but these only support the dynamic (speed-assisted) diving.
