U.S.S. Constitution M 1:98

Beautiful model of the American ship "Constitution". After two failed attempts, she was finally launched on 31 December 1797.
This frigate with a weight of 1556 tonnes and a crew of 468 was one of the most powerful ships of its time. She was in service with the United States under changing command until the dawn of the steamship era.

She became known as "Old Ironsides" and was in service until 1897, when she was towed back to her launching site in Boston, where she can still be seen today as a museum.

The kit contains building plans with multilingual instructions, walnut or lime planking and walnut masts. The stern decorations are cast brass. All cleats and blocks made of walnut. Fine details in etched sheet brass. Complete rigging material and flag are supplied. A set of sails is not included but is available as an option.

Please note that the lifeboats shown in the pictures are an optional part and are not included in the kit.
