Coastal freighter Carli

Based on a Danish freighter built in Svendborg in 1902 under a different name. From 1933 to 1942 it sailed under the name ‘CARLI’. In 1944, while sailing from Wismar to Odense, it hit a mine and sank, loaded with coal. 2 of the 5 crew members on board survived.

The construction kit is a reissue of a model series from the 1970s. It has been completely revised and includes new illustrated step-by-step assembly instructions. The set consists of vacuum-moulded ABS parts for the hull and deck. Superstructures are laser-cut plywood parts. A complete set of fittings for equipping the model is included. The kit is aimed at model builders with little experience. The conversion to an RC model is possible for advanced model builders, but should be well planned before construction.
