Pirat Flying Dutchman

The legend of the Flying Dutchman is about a captain who has been condemned by a curse to wander the sea with his ghost ship until doomsday, unable to enter a port or find salvation in death. The origins of the legend are not known.
The core of the legend is a captain who, through his own fault, incurs a curse. This forces him to continue sailing until the Day of Judgment, unless he finds redemption through a special circumstance. There is often little distinction between the figure of the captain and the ship, so it is unclear whether the captain is called the "Flying Dutchman" or whether it is the name of the ship.

The kit is a complete kit and contains all the parts needed to build the model. There are two boxes bulging with cast metal hardware parts as well as some brass etched parts. The detailing is very high, there are a lot of bones and crazy ornaments included. The sheer number of parts promises long building fun. The parts for the keel (MDF) and the frames (plywood) are included as laser cut precision parts. The kit comes with a color step-by-step instruction booklet that shows all the steps in great detail. Detail photos show complicated steps and provide quick orientation. A simple model stand is NOT included and is available as an accessory. The sail set is ready sewn but not yet colored.

Not included are paints, glues and tools. Due to the very many small details and countless parts only experienced modelers should dare to realize this model !
