This elegant frigate, like many other ships of the time, was designed for the British Navy by the then very famous master shipbuilder Frederik Chapman. The Unicorn was armed with 32 guns, 24 of which were posted on the battery deck and 8 on the upper deck. The slender hull with the imposing rigging offers an aesthetically complete image.
For the construction of the model a scale was chosen which allows a good reproduction of all details. The detailed construction plan with numerous perspective drawings, the carefully sawn wooden parts, the selected moldings and the rich set of fittings meet the highest demands in quality and equipment.
As a supplement, a set of ready-sewn sails is available for the Unicorn under item no. 61997.
