LE TONNANT Pirate Ship Kit
Le Tonnant was a corsair ship: the term "corsair" was used in earlier centuries to refer to both the ship and the captain. Corsairs were therefore pirates with a state license. The model was carefully reconstructed according to old documents. The construction plan is very detailed and contains a lot of detailed drawings, which can also be considered as a model for other ships of the 18th century.
The equipment of the kit leaves hardly anything to be desired. Keel and frames are sawn out. The planking is done twice. (1. planking made of lime strips 1,5x5 mm, 2. planking made of walnut 1x5 mm). Of course, all metal and wood fittings are included in the model kit.
Canvas is included in the kit.
Alternatively, a set of ready-sewn sails is available under item number 61914.
