This model shows a typical barque as it was used around the Arabian Peninsula for fishing as well as for the coastal transport of goods. During the colonial occupation, the Italian navy equipped these ships with small 37 mm cannons. A dhow (or dhow) is a type of sailing ship found in all countries bordering the Indian Ocean. The special features of a dhow are one to three one-piece masts, some of which have a pronounced forward drop, large trapezoidal sails (so-called settie sails), and wide protrusions. The Corel kit is very well equipped with its sawn frames, selected wooden mouldings for the planking and high-quality fittings. Sail cloth is included for the sails.
