The Leida has its origins in one of those typical Dutch fishing boats of the 18th century. The famous ship designer Frederic Chapman added a few sparse but very attractive decorations to this ship, creating an original and elegant excursion boat. Typical of Dutch yachts are the famous centreboards, which allow the ship to sail in very shallow waters.
The Corel kit contains the keel and frames already sawn out, all fittings made of wood, cast metal and etched brass as well as sail cloth and detailed building instructions with a construction plan.
