The ANTARES is a cutter-rigged racing and touring yacht in the typical style of the 1920s with excellent sailing characteristics even in strong winds.  The aim was to make a model of this class with modern production methods also possible for the advanced beginner. The Antares is a special model for lovers of classic yachts thanks to its true-to-original appearance, including the details, laser-cut wooden deck and mahogany superstructure.

The model is certainly not a mass-produced item, although a finished epoxy hull is included in the kit and all the wooden parts for the deck and superstructure are also available as laser-cut parts, making construction quick and uncomplicated. The deck is completed as a separate load-bearing assembly completely outside the hull and only then glued into the hull as a whole. All the materials required for construction are included. Only the fittings for rigging the mast, such as brass blocks, shroud tensioners, stainless steel cable and lines, are included in the extra rigging kit, which is only needed later. An auxiliary drive has been fitted to the model for calm conditions and is available as an additional accessory kit.

Drawings in 1:1 scale are included for the sails. You can either purchase fabric to sew yourself or a ready-made sail set. The detailed building instructions, in which each stage of construction is illustrated in pictures and also describe the detailed prototypical control of the two headsails, and a detailed construction plan make building the model easy even for non-experts. The model can be equipped with 2 or 3 sail winches. However, the winches can also be installed after the model has been completed.
