These cutter types were built in the first half of the 18th century in the south-west of England as fast ships on the Channel. They quickly gained a good reputation for their speed, which did not go unnoticed by smugglers who quickly adopted this type of boat. As a result, these cutters were also used by the British customs authorities to pursue smugglers.

The Lady Nelson kit was developed for beginners and is ideal for an introduction to frame construction with double planking. All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut from walnut and plywood. Detailed construction plans and instructions make assembly easy. This kit is completed by a beautiful model stand!
