In the JOJO model shop you will find a large selection of ready-made RTR/ARTR ship models. Our range of ready-made RC ships ranges from historic sports boats, racing and sailing yachts to complete model racing boats for competitions.

RTR ship models

Perhaps you are new to model building and are wondering what RTR and ARTR models are? The big difference is that our selection includes scaled ship models, fully functional, with and without radio remote controls.

RTR is the abbreviation for "Ready to run". This means RTR models are completely ready to run. Ready-made models of this type are often only available in limited quantities and quickly become sought-after collector's items. Please also note that RTR is not the same as RTR: In some cases, rechargeable batteries, batteries or chargers must be ordered separately.

If you buy a model ship from us, for example the RC sailing yacht Seawind, you will need to order additional batteries and a charger. In most cases, however, you only need to put batteries in the remote control and you can head out to the lake. Such ship models are particularly popular because your chosen model is ready to sail in just a few simple steps and the time-consuming crafting work is almost completely eliminated.

ARTR ship models

ARTR models are interesting for those who would rather choose their own individual remote control for their ship model. ARTR means "Almost ready to run". These are RC models that are completely pre-assembled. Various importers and manufacturers such as Robbe and Graupner have very complex, scale-correct and true-to-scale models manufactured. ARTR models are delivered without a receiver and remote control. You can put together rechargeable batteries and batteries for the corresponding accessories individually and buy them here in the shop. You can find the right remote control here:
